Vehicle Number Plate Colour and Size
High-Security Number Plates are used in all vehicles. These plates are the same across the states of India. Various Colours used for वाहन Number Plates.
- सफेद रंग पर काले रंग में लिखे नंबर: ये वाहन निजी के उपयोग हेतू।
- पीला रंग काले रंग में लिखे नंबर: ऑटो-टैक्सी/कैब और ट्रक-बस जैसे अन्य बड़े वाहन के उपयोग हेतू।
- काला रंग पर पीले रंग में नबर: व्यावसायिक/ कमर्शियल उपयोग हेतू खास व्यक्तियों के लिए रेंटल कार के तौर पर (जैसे पांच सितारा होटलों की गाड़ियाँ )।
- नीला रंग पर सफेद रंग के नंबर: इसका उपयोग राजनियक सेवा के अधिकारी करते हैं। देश में स्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्र, विदेशी दूतावास के अधिकारी, भारतीय विदेश सेवा विभाग के अधिकारी, जिन्हें हम राजदूत/एंबेसेडर आदि करते हैं, इन वाहनों के नंबर की शुरुआत किसी राज्य के कोड से नहीं बल्कि जिस देश की गाड़ी है, वहां के कोड से होती है।
- लाल रंग पर गोल्डन यानी सुनहरे रंग में नंबर: राष्ट्रपति और विभिन्न राज्यों के राज्यपाल के आधिकारिक वाहन में होता है। नंबर प्लेट पर अशोक स्तंभ का चिह्न बना हुआ होता है।
- हरा रंग पर सफेद रंग में नंबर: निजी उपयोग वाले इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों के उपयोग
- हरा रंग पर पीले रंग में नंबर: इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन वाणिज्यिक यानी कमर्शियल उपयोग वाले वाहनों के लिए
- तीर वाली नंबर प्लेट: सैन्य उपयोग के लिए, रक्षा मंत्रालय की ओर से आवंटित किए जाते हैं।

- Step-1. Fill the Form 20. (Download Form 20).
- Step-2. Submit Form 20 to transport department area authority.
